Introduction to our Company |

The Concrete Company is an
independent company, wholly owned and run by Tim & Jennie
Dighton, and is now the second largest independently owned readymix supplier
in the U.K. |

|
| |
Formed in 1990 at our original location at Station
Road, Thorney, Peterborough, England, with one, 3 cubic metre
readymixed truck, the company has expanded to total 12 plants, with an
annual turnover of over
£11 million per annum. |

| |
Our portfolio
of customers now stretches from national construction contractors,
through the Ministry of Defence and the utilities, to local builders
and C.O.D. customers. |

|
| |
The
introduction of a pumping service in 1998 was a great asset to
us and we are now the only supplier of both readymix and pumping
service in the area, and the largest supplier of concrete pumping
locally. |
|

In early 2003, we acquired Minimix
Norfolk Ltd, based in Norwich, which had a strong presence in the
Norfolk mini load market. This now operates alongside our
traditional 'Concrete Company' business.
At the same time, we acquired the transport business of L.H.
Vergette & Sons, a Peterborough based haulier. This widened our
haulage base and enabled us to extend our service carrying bulk
loads for both the agricultural and construction markets

Accreditation by the Quality Scheme for Readymixed Concrete
(Q.S.R.M.C.) and the certification of out testing services
laboratory by the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (U.K.A.S.)
means that our customers can be assured of a quality assessed
product, produced and delivered with the up most care. |
